Lawrence Purdy Learning Centre

The Learning Centre was created during the 2004 renovation and dedicated to our first minister, the Rev. Lawrence Purdy. It was designed to be a flexible, multi-use space to accommodate a library, archives, a work area for Internet access, an area for quiet reading or reflection, and a gathering space either around a table or in a circle.

The library holds over 500 items that are loaned to the congregation, including adult (large print and regular) and children’s books, magazines, videos, DVDs, and CDs. The focus of the library material is mainly Christian with a progressive lean. Topics include ethics, theology, spirituality, devotions, Christian life, and other religions. In addition, there are small collections of inspirational fiction and biography, parenting, ecology, poetry and art.
