Carolyn takes Applewood Youth and Family ministry beyond fun to an opportunity for real Spirit in real life. Carolyn is an ardent fan of multi-generational worship, emerging church, youth potential, social & environmental justice, and our United Church of Canada. Best of all, she loves digging out dark spaces to find where God shines. She is here as a Designated Lay Minister, with a BA in Political Science, UCC certification in Worship Leadership (theology, spirituality, biblical studies), and NEOS youth leadership training. As well, her certification in childbirth support highlights a commitment to personal and family ministry. Carolyn is often visiting friends, eagerly immersed in pop culture or exploring life around town with her family.

Christina enjoys her position as the Musical Director at Applewood which includes working with the Senior Choir. Thursday night is Choir night and, along with the dedicated practice, there always seems to be a joke or two to be shared and that keeps everyone smiling. Christina enjoys creating a variety of musical styles for the services at Applewood and works with the choir and with guest musicians throughout the year to provide uplifting music. Christina is a graduate of the Humber College Jazz Studies program. She has played keyboards in several pit orchestras including productions of Me and My Girl, Oliver and CATS. She enjoys her diverse work as a freelance musician, and is very excited about her own musical production currently in the works entitled “Walk into the Light”.
